1. Agreement and eligibility
By accessing or using FormatInstant, you agree to these terms and to the laws that apply to your use. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You are responsible for ensuring that you may use the site in your location and on behalf of any organization for which you act.
2. Free use and permitted purposes
The current service provides browser-based utilities without an account, subscription, or payment flow. You may use the tools for lawful personal, educational, or professional purposes, subject to these terms and others’ rights.
You agree not to interfere with the website’s availability or security, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, violate another person’s rights, or use the site unlawfully. Do not process information unless you are authorized and the device and workflow satisfy applicable organizational requirements.
3. Your data and your responsibilities
The included FormatInstant transformations execute in the browser. The application code does not submit tool input to a FormatInstant processing server and does not create a transformation history. You remain responsible for the information you choose to enter, your device and browser environment, and the destination where you use copied results. Keep suitable source copies and verify output before relying on it.
Do not use FormatInstant as a password manager, secure vault, records archive, regulated-data platform, or replacement for required organizational controls. Local processing does not control extensions, device management, clipboard tools, networks, or hosting infrastructure. See the Privacy Policy for the current data-handling description.
4. Accuracy and no professional advice
The tools are provided for convenience. A successful transformation does not warrant that output is accurate, complete, compatible with a particular system, or fit for a particular purpose. Formats have dialects and edge cases, and parsers may reject or interpret inputs differently from downstream applications. A formatter is not schema validation, a security review, legal advice, financial advice, or professional certification.
You are responsible for testing results, independently validating consequential data, and retaining source material when appropriate. Do not make an important decision solely because a tool returned output without an error.
5. Availability and changes
The service or any feature may be changed, suspended, or discontinued. Browser and operating-system changes can also affect behavior. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular response time, ongoing support, backward compatibility, or long-term availability of any feature.
6. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, FormatInstant’s branding, presentation, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of your input or grant rights to material you do not own. You retain rights you already have in data you provide; the local transformation interface does not claim ownership of that input.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service and its tools are provided “as is” and “as available,” without express, implied, or statutory warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. Nothing excludes a right or warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator and contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, business opportunity, or service availability arising from use of the site. Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law. This section does not exclude liability where prohibited, including applicable liability for fraud or intentional misconduct.
Some jurisdictions do not permit specific exclusions or limits; in those jurisdictions, the affected provisions apply only to the extent allowed by law.
8. Indemnity and third-party services
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for claims arising from your unlawful use, violation of these terms, or infringement of another person’s rights. Nothing requires indemnification for the operator’s own unlawful conduct or removes protections that cannot legally be waived.
Advertising areas in the current project are placeholders; no advertising network is configured in this build. If external services or links are introduced later, those providers control their own services and may have separate terms and privacy practices.
9. Governing law, updates, and contact
The project owner has not supplied a governing-law selection or formal notice address. Applicable legal rules depend on the parties and circumstances. The operator should have counsel confirm jurisdiction-specific terms before launch. For questions, use the contact page. Updates to these terms should carry a revised review date.
10. Entire agreement and severability
These terms and the linked Privacy Policy describe the current website terms available for this build. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
